Entry criteria for the apprenticeship

For this apprenticeship, the minimum entry requirements needed is a Beauty Therapy Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard or equivalent to have the fundamental foundation of the job role. To complete the final End Point Assessment, it is also necessary for the candidate to have received a level 2 in both English and Maths. With these entry requirements, it gives a lot of people a great opportunity to kick start their career in something they are passionate about!

With a qualification like this, there’s a huge choice of jobs you can be employed within. These range from travel, beauty industry, salons and many more. The main reason for this job is to provide, design and implement bespoke treatment plans. These can range from massage techniques to meeting and managing client needs. You will learn the whole process of the business, from making the most of your resources to how salons actually run.

In your day to day work, you will interact with a lot of colleagues as well as external companies. This gives you the chance to form great relationships in the industry. You will also get hands on experience with customer. I’m sure you would agree this sounds very exciting!

Assessments

There are 3 main exams you will take, along with the EPA, over the 18 month program. Your first will be a knowledge exam, so use all that knowledge you already have to help you succeed! The second is an observation and tech demonstration, which is where you get to show off all the great skills you will learn. The final exam is a professional discussion, where you can take the time to express your passion and skills and tell them how much you’ve learnt.
